A Grace Update: From Me!

I watch my mommy and daddy use this computer a lot (Daddy has been holding me and typing with this since I was one day old!), and I think it’s time for me to have my own turn. Making a post is just one more way for me to show that I am becoming such a big girl! I have had an extremely busy month, as you will note from all of the pictures. It seems that Mommy and Daddy have been slacking on posting about me. So, with no further ado, here is some news from my side of the crib:

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m quite social. I talk a lot these days, even though sometimes it seems like no one is listening.   Like in the back of the car or in my crib in the early morning. Sometimes, when I’m pretty sure I’m all alone, I try out new sounds too–I’ve mastered a monster growl that is just plain creepy and a high pitched shriek that always gets me some attention. With lots to say, I’ve been busy this last month making my rounds to visit my friends. Daddy got nervous again when I spent some time with the boys…I can’t help it, Daddy, that Kyler, Luke, Jackson, and Landon T. are a part of my fan club! I also got some girl time to catch up with my friend Abby Rachut. Mixed in with the time I spent hanging out with friends, though, I got to see some family too. Mom says that family always has to come first, so I visited some grandparents and great-grandparents to spread some love. I even took some time to visit with my kitty, Simon. Finally, I expanded my social horizons with my first ISU tailgate. As you can imagine, I was quite a hit in all of my Cyclone apparel. I see a modeling contract for the ISU Foundation coming soon…

When I wasn’t socializing this month, I was working very hard to learn some new tricks for all of my fans. I noticed that the colors outside are changing from green to red, orange, yellow, and brown. So, I guess it’s time for me to make some changes, too. Although I enjoy eating my cereal, I do have aspirations to eat more than mush someday. I have begun working to achieve this goal by getting my first two bottom teeth. It was hard work, but I’ve heard Mom and Dad say, “No pain, no gain!” when working out, so I guess it’s worth it. The no pain motto also came in handy as I mastered sitting up all by myself. And I’m pretty proud to say that all those face-plants have paid off as I can now play with my toys from an exciting new angle. If only I could move to get the toys out of my reach without getting dizzy from all that rolling around….I’ll keep you posted on how I decide to solve that problem next time I can sneak in some computer time.

Until then, keep up with my progress by enjoying the photos in the gallery. I’ll hope to see you all soon!

Love,

Grace
